Working Directly with schools/Private work. What is the Character Tree? For Staff:

The Character Tree Wellbeing Workshops
I run a series of workshops for children focusing on different Character qualities & virtues to support their wellbeing
These workshops create a space for children to reflect on themselves and to explore their own character. It is an opportunity for children to develop a deeper understanding and belief that they can deal with different situations by making use of they own innate resources.
Character Qualities Assembly Package
An introduction to Character Qualities - A whole school assembly
An introductory assembly for parents to Character Education and Virtues.
How does it work?
Use language to build trust and increase hope, engagement and self esteem. Enabling children to make detached conscious decisions to get the right outcome in any situation, whether it be academic or social.
Reflective opportunities for learning to develop authentic self esteem and resilience.
Utilise virtues based boundaries promoting personal responsibility, integrity and self-discipline.
creating a culture of mutual respect and appreciation.
Why use the Character Tree in your School? In our ever changing world we want our children and young people to be equipped with the understanding and belief that they can deal with any situation by making use of they own innate resources. Working with virtues can build a confidence that can enable children to tap into their own virtues and strengths, so they can face some of these challenges with a stronger self belief and sense of wellbeing.
The school community realise that in order to achieve each child's potential, building a strong resilient character is equally as important as academic achievement. The Character Tree aims to develop an understanding of how Character Education & Virtues can link into your existing curriculum, behavioural code and daily classroom life.
Any additional work can be arranged and a bespoke package designed to suite your schools. For more information please get in touch: Shona Pye M:07983569981 E: thecharactertree@yahoo.com
