THE CHARACTER TREE
WELL-BEING FROM THE ROOTS UP....
Shona Pye a Virtues Project™ Master Facilitator has spent the last few years introducing 'Character Education & Virtues' into schools in Cornwall. " It was something I felt would be valuable not only to my own children and their school community but I felt that Character Education & Virtues would support the wellbeing of children in other schools and communities. "
Through my business The Character Tree:
The Character Tree can empower both staff and children, to give them the opportunity to acknowledge their strengths, support growth and to discover our innate resources. Increase joy, meaning and purpose through the arts, community service projects and by creating a culture of mutual respect and appreciation; creating a better sense of wellbeing.

Through my business The Character Tree:
- I introduce a training program which is inclusive for all staff, this introduces Character Education & Virtues so everyone can develop a better understanding of how this can link into the existing curriculum and daily classroom life. The programme focusses on how working with Character & Virtues can support growth and enhance our wellbeing from the roots up.
- I deliver classroom workshops & assemblies for each Key Stage to demonstrate practical activities and to embed virtues into the curriculum.
- The Character Tree CIC has been set up to create opportunities for schools to take part in Wellbeing events as well as receiving wellbeing workshops. The aim of the CIC is to apply for funding to provide schools with these activities at a reduced rate to make this more affordable to the school community.
